The Nutcracker

I am almost embarrassed to say I saw The Nutcracker for the first time this year. How did I get to be 40-something without experiencing this wonderful story?

Every year Louise organises this trip for the kids in Kindermusik, so we had front row seats. We were practically sitting in with the orchestra (Symphony Nova Scotia). This performance was put on by The Young Company of Halifax Dance and Mermaid Theatre. The dancers were great and the puppets were amazing and the music, well everyone recognises at least one tune from the set list. Overall . . . absolute magic and watching DJs face light up as he watched was priceless.

I am pretty sure this will become a Christmas tradition for us.
