The kids at school had a Gingerbread House making day. Their 6th grade reading buddies were asked to help so they paired up with their buddy and made 2 houses (one each). The houses were definitely European in design i.e. small! and made from Graham crackers. slight design fault in that the roofs were very hard to attach. But once the kids figured out that the more icing you used the easier it was it became a lot more fun. As can be seen from the pictures below there was no shortage of decorations.
Dylan & Bronwyn added a door and doorbell, windows, a wreath, a path, with Christmas tree lot; picnic tables for the teddies; an archway and a giant Christmas tree.
Best part? The Mums were asked to volunteer. What a laugh.
