Snow Day

Well, it wasn't a true snow day as it was a weekend but it sure was fun. Lots of lovely snow so we wrapped up warm and DJ & I set off for a wander down the backyard while Jonathan got out the snow blower (boys and their toys, eh?)

We walked all the way down the path to the woods and for some reason decided that would be a good spot for a snowman. I forgot we had a great snowman kit from last year, courtesy of Alana (DJ's babysitter) and instead I had to improvise with stuff from the garage. The next one will be a little more stylish.

After making Frosty, we had to show Jonathan who was done playing so we took out the sled. No plastic bags or biscuit tin lids (the neighbours might think we came from away!) I am not sure who had more fun, me watching or the boys pretending they were trying out for the Winter Games in Vancouver (is Sledding an Olympic sport?) Checkout the video and tell me what you think. Gold medal material from where I was standing, which for those who have not been to our place, was the hill at the front of the house leading to the next lot!

As much fun as all that was, the best bit was the Hot Chocolate we had afterwards, cuddled up on the couch with a blazing fire in the background. A real Winter Wonderland - I'm Lovin' It.
