A Hunting we will go

Sunday afternoon - nice bright sunny day out so we thought we'd go for a walk. No better place to go for a walk than your own backyard - literally. We noticed a couple of markers down the back of the lot that we didn’t recall seeing before, so we wrapped up (it's still minus temperatures here) and away we went.

The other day I heard the sound of trees being felled and I was pretty sure it was coming from one of the lots behind us. The fact that our lot had been re-marked was a pretty good indication someone was out there recently. Sure enough we found tracks - footprints in the snow - leading away from the markers. So we decided to follow!

Well the Great White Hunters got a little spooked as we wandered deeper into the woods after we discovered what looked like Moose tracks - stop laughing. That's what they looked like - or so we thought, until I looked them up and discovered they are nothing like Moose tracks, they look more like rabbit tracks. Mind you if they are a Giant Easter Bunny has come early. I didn’t get a photo but if anyone knows what tracks resemble a giant rabbit, please let me know. . . . the joys of living in the “country”, eh?
