B is for Bon Voyage

I am sure all the neighbours were wondering last night about the 26ft sailboat parked in the driveway - they know Jonathan well enough by now not to be surprised by the arrival of any new vehicles, but a boat might get them talking! Some may even have realised it belongs to Dad and that it was parked here temporarily before the Snowbirds took off en route to Florida.

So, this morning we said Bon Voyage to Dad & Jane as they set off on the road trip that is becoming something of an annual voyage. Yes, the trip to Florida in that navy & silvery Chevy Blazer with a 26ft McGregor (sailboat) on tow. That's one long drive ahead. First stop breakfast somewhere in New Brunswick, then on to Freeport for an overnight before the second leg which will take them to Susie & Joe's for the night. Then another couple of days before they get to the Florida Keys but I can picture them stripping off layers of clothing as they get closer to the Equator :)

As we said Bye Bye in the bitter cold surrounded by mounds of snow and as we head into another Winter Storm I am sure Dad & Jane are thinking Bye bye Snow and Hello Spring.

Enjoy - see you guys in a few months!
