So long 2006! Hello 2007!

Dear Friends & Family

As 2006 draws to a close and 2007 peeks over the horizon, we wanted to wish all our friends, family & anyone else who reads this - a fantastic New Year.
It's hard not to look back at our year with a sense of amazement and achievement at all that has happened to us. Not a typical year for sure (and it hasn't all been easy, we just don't tell you about the bad stuff!)

We wanted to express our gratitude to all of you who have kept in touch, checked in now & again, emailed, commented, phoned, sent cards, come to visit etc. It made it so much easier to deal with the fact that we are a few thousand miles away from all that was familiar & comfortable.

We have a few New Years Resolutions and if I can be so bold as to suggest one for all of you. As we approach the last quarter of our first year away, please do keep in touch - add a comment to the blog once in a while (you can even do it anonymously if you are shy!); start your own blog - some of you have expressed an interest in starting your own blogs, having been inspired (what a compliment) by ours. Please do - it's so much fun to do and knowing you guys read it makes it all worthwhile; drop an email (little often is better than none at all); consider getting Skype if you haven't already (we are delighted to say we have persuaded a few more friends & family members to join the Skype community) and call for a free chat when the humour takes you. And if you are up to it, come on over and visit. So many ways to keep in touch with the technology that is now available at our fingertips so choose your preferred method and keep in touch.

Wishing you all a Fabulous 2007 - hope to hear from you soon.
Elle & Jonathan

  1. Well I'll try this again - having failed once to add a 'comment' I hav elittle patience to return. But, it is the eve of 2007 and I can turn over the impatience leaf methinks. All I wanted to ask was 'what is the stuff coming out of the haggis?' or should one even ask . . . Susie
