Jonathan's Birthday

In true Irish Party mode, we managed to spread the celebrations over a few days. We didn’t do much on the day (well it was a Wednesday), but we had a family party here at the B&B on Friday night. Dad, Jane, Alfie (just back from a trip out West), Doug & Amanda all came out, complete with Bubbly & presents. Dad & Jonathan Bar-B-Q’ed on the deck in spite of the snow. We even managed a Birthday cake + candles, followed by dancing, drinking & board games!! A great night was had by all. Jonathan says a great big Thanks to all who sent cards, phoned, texted – you made his day!

Even with hangovers, on Saturday we test drove his present (!) – The new Sebring. Looks like an Audi S4; sounds like a race car; goes like a rocket. No contest, we found what we were looking for – we had ordered one in as it has to be silver! Having spent the day hanging out at car lots with sore heads, we had a Mini Film Festival on Saturday night (i.e. we rented a movie and made Popcorn!).

Then Sunday night, we went to the Halifax Metro Centre (sort of like National Stadium in Dublin) for the Rob Thomas gig. Great gig – that boy (he’s only 34) is brilliant. Not that he needs the sales (his solo album went straight in at #1), go on treat yourself, buy it, it’s brilliant. Multi-talented and good-looking too, girls ;)
