And the forecast for . . .

They say the weather in Ireland is changeable! It may be but it is here too, maybe in a different way. In Ireland, changeable means bring your umbrella and your sunhat. Here on the Atlantic Seaboard, it hasn't rained yet but it sure has snowed and just when you think it's starting to get better - a hint of Spring (a season they say they don't really get in Canada, snow-cold-more snow-even colder-then slight thaw, then hey presto it's Summer sometime around May!!!). Well we fell for that one a few days ago. The skies turned blue, the temp came up, melted some (not all) of the snowdrifts that have been hanging around, lots of brown grass (not "the green green grass of home") and the kids won't be out skating on the Lake this weekend. Then out of nowhere, it snowed again last night. Surely just a blip on the forecast, supposed to warm up to late 60's by weekend. If this was Ireland, we'd be packing away our wooly sweaters, boots, hats, scarves etc. But it's not - and anyway I don't have anywhere to pack stuff away to (yet). Probably just as well 'cos if you listen to the forecast for next week - well let's just say Brrrr! Mind you they say it's very hard to be a prophet these days as so much can change overnight - and that included the weather. So to all our friends in Ireland and the West Coast (of Canada), think of us still freezing our butts off while you watch the buds coming out and send us some warm breezes or at least photos to remind us of what Spring looks like!
