Sometimes it is the simple things in Life that bring the most pleasure. Like getting the keys to your own mailbox!
For those of you not familiar with rural living in Canada - the mail (post) is not delivered through the front door as we are all used to in Ireland. Alot of houses have mailboxes at the end of their driveway and others (like us) have a mailbox area at the main road (in our case approx 1.5kms from the house). Each mailbox has a key which allows us to collect our mail daily. (I'll get a picture for those of you who haven't a clue what I am talking about ;))
Anyways, last week we got the keys to our mailbox! Well, it was the highlight of my day, especially when I opened it and found redirected mail from Ireland. OK so it was only visa bills and notices re BUPA and bin charges, but it all counts when you are adjusting to a new country.
So, if any of you want to put pen to paper, you should have the address. If not, email me (I don't really want to post it on the Internet!!). And if you want to make Jonathan's day, his birthday is coming up on March 8th. . . .
Of course email is just as welcome and thanks a mill to all of you who have emailed or posted comments - it's great to be able to keep in touch so easily.
