18!
Mad about cars. Loves his job (Eastlink), but school not so much.
Our Darling boy - you are the best thing that ever happened to us. You challenge us in ways we never expected and you have brought so much joy to our lives. Not that has all been a bed of roses, right? But you are quick to forgive and never hold a grudge - I want to be like you when I grow up.
You are on the verge of the next chapter and it is going to be great. You have been way more resilient in your 18 years than most people have to be in their entire lives. Let your life story guide you, not shape you. Keep being the best version of yourself and never forget how much you are loved.
Birthday treats included dinner at The Fourth Lock (our local, best budget joint in own and the place that was Dylan's first job); a photo shoot (of his car); a new watch (which arrived a few days late - sorry kiddo); and a family dinner on Easter Sunday. All to celebrate this wonderful human.
As Dylan said himself, if we were in Dublin, we would have been down the pub buying him his first pint. But the laws are different here and he'll have to wait one more year for that treat. Unless we go back to Dublin before then!
Next up is the Champagne Birthday - what a treat that will be.
