Daisy & Bertie

There once was a tractor called Daisy. She lived (belonged) on a farm on PEI.

My Dad has such fond memories of working Daisy to move the hay around the farm when he was just a young fella, that when he came across a 1952 Ford tractor a few years ago, he bought it, cleaned it up and put it into service at Paul's Point. Daisy has been painted up and put to good use mowing the lawn and plowing snow. Not bad for an 'old girl', eh?!

Jonathan was so smitten with Daisy that he asked Andy to leave her to him in his will. Then he decided he didn't want to wait that long to get her, so he bought himself another one. This other one is a 1943 Ford and is affectionately known as Bertie (after Albert Bolton, Jonathan's Dad).

Fathers Day gifts from Elle
At the time of writing Bertie had not been painted up but the colour scheme had been decided. So what better Father's Day gifts for the Dads in my life than matching, personalized, handmade (by a friend) signs in their corresponding colours?

The icing on the cake was the story that my Dad told afterwards - all about Daisy and how she got her name 💛
