O Christmas Tree (s)

The Main one
Basement Tree - the only *live* one!
Just how many trees do we need? A few years ago I gave in and let Jonathan buy an artificial tree (gasp!) which does it's job very well, year after year. And it does not shed tiny little green things (as DJ calls them) all over the floor and into every crevice in the living room, waiting to be found every time I vacuum between Christmas & June!

This year we picked a new spot for it - same room, just opposite corner. Decorated it beautifully as always, red (mostly) & white this year.

But after the pre-Christmas storm, we noticed a tree down in the backyard and Jonathan had mentioned he wanted a tree for the basement, I was happy to bring a real on in the house. Mind you it didn't take long for the needles to fall.

That was tree #4 as Dylan brought home a tree he made at school, complete with handmade decorations and a card titled 'Parents are Like Snowflakes' . . . . and we thought they weren't doing many crafts for Christmas. As it turns out, they were working on them for weeks and managed to keep it secret. Best Christmas present ever!
#2 is the miniature Norwegian (?) Spruce which is twice the size it was last year and needs repotted again, but looks lovely on the island in the kitchen, especially with the decorations that came from the Christmas Crackers last year!

Then Jonathan decided to bring home his *office tree* (#5) as he didn't want it to be lonely over the holidays! This one is decorated with tiny little Victorian ornaments that I picked up at a Christmas Fair a couple of year ago for a dollar.

Wonder how many we will have next year!

#3 - Dylan's creation
#5 - Jonathan's office tree
