It was their first meeting but DJ & Oona had a great time playing . . . . on the beach, in the boat, on the deck, in the garden, with the Fisher Price toys - you name it they had fun with it!
Even DJ's dinky cars were a hit, and even though Oona got very attached to a police car, I am pretty sure the doll is still her #1 choice.
But it was fleeting - less than a mere 24 hours - and DJ now refers to Oona as 'my new friend'.
I am sure the connection will still be there next year and I have no doubt that if DJ and Oona got their hands on a couple of iPads they would be facebooking each other as I write.
PS Christina - one of the FP people and a fire truck were discovered in DJ's backpack when we got home. I promise to repatriate them next year!
