Jonathan has been practising the words to 'O Canada' as his Canadian residency should come through any month now. I thought he was doing really well recently util I realised that he was discreetly reading the words from a card on the windscreen visor . . . I think DJ knows the words better, not that I can talk or sing for that matter!

Fall River Fire Station
July 1st is the Canadian version of St Patrick's Day (without the drinking) - and everyone dresses in red, not green. But the Canadians are just as proud of their heritage (mixed race that they are) and do alot to show it. So, we started the day with a visit to our local Fire Station and Mr I-want-to-be-a-Fireman-when-I-grow up had a great time climbing up in the can of Engine 45, but wasn't too impressed with the plastic fire hats they were giving away.

Pow Wow on The Commons

Boys will be Boys
Next stop was the Halifax Commons, where the Pow Wow was taking place. Teepees and Native crafts were all setting up on the green but DJ spotted an Army Tank on the side street - well we had to go see it and climb in it.
It just doesn't get much better for a 4-year old boy, does it?
