Toy Story 3

Dylan's first trip to the Big Screen/Movie Theatre/Cinema. Well, it was a a rainy Sunday afternoon and we had said we would all like to see it, so why not? Despite booking our tickets on-line and printing them off, one of us still had to stand in line for 1/2 hour to get popcorn. I had brought snacks for DJ but didn't expect him to munch through the popcorn like he was a seasoned movie goer. I have to say he looked rather cute in a the booster seats they provide for kids (what a great idea) and despite the fact that I thought he was going to talk all the way through, he settled down once Buzz & Woody took over the action.

Yes, it's a great movie, better than 2, but the original might still be the best. I can't be too sure because the projector broke down and we didn't get to see the escape from daycare (I am assuming they did get out, right?). So, we lined up again to get a refund as promised. Now they did give us a couple of coupons on the way out, and Jonathan managed to get a few more, so the next Movie night will be a cheap one. And I think we'll hold off until TS3 comes out on DVD/BR. Funny thing is, as much as DJ realised that the movie was interrupted, he didn't realise that we were missing the end of the story. . . . oh to be 3 and to live in the moment!

PS I don't know about the rest of my generation, but I was 11 before I saw my first movie on the big screen - I think it was Grease and I can still taste the Sour Apple drops and Strawberry Bon Bons. share your first in the comments below!
