Jonathan was a little sceptical about Shark Fishing - only because he had to get very early to meet the guys somewhere in Eastern Passage. He took off in what seemed like the middle of the night with a mug of tea and enough clothes to open a small boutique (and he says I don't travel light!)
I called him a few hours later (I couldn't get the front door open and what I thought he was going to do about I don't know!) and they were at sea. What he didn't mention until much later was that the guys all sat quietly on deck for the first hour, waiting for the sun to come up and hoping not to puke over the side! Sea legs, how are you?
But I guess they came around because they set their fishing rods and all caught something - sharks, not rubber boots! - yes Jonathan's was the biggest as seen here.
And yes, it was very much alive. Once the shark is caught on the line, the captain & First Mate 'help' bring them in, unhook them, weigh them, pause for a quick photo and them throw them back in the water.
Sounds like a great corporate day out - even if they did get a little sunburnt. I wonder how long the wishy-washy feeling will last.
OMG.
ReplyDeleteThat was only Wednesday - wait until you see what he did on Friday!
