If you have read much of this blog you may know I reconnected with my Alma Mater in Halifax and was co-opted to the Alumnae Committee. Our Spring Luncheon reunion is coming up and I volunteered to contact some of the girls who were a year above me - it's their 25th reunion this year s0 so why not check out Facebook . . . no surprise that there are a number of groups related to Sacred Heart schools. And glancing through some of the names, I found one of my old classmates (we would have been the class of '84).
An interesting fact about my last year in Canada (1976/77) was that there were 6 of us in Grade 5 and we all started in different years; I believe Andrea started in Primary; I started in Grade 1; Helene - Grade 2; Grace - Grade 3; Patti - Grade 4 and Tina - Grade 5. We were the smallest ever class in the school and we were close. As is evidenced in some of the pictures that Grace has posted on her FB.
Seen here are the lovely Grade 5'ers at Grace's 9th birthday. No prizes for spotting me!Just don't tell me I haven't changed a bit!!!
Maybe one of these years we'll get an updates version of us all! That is if I can track the missing 2 - Patti & Tina where are you?
PS I Also reconnected with one of the class of '83 who was a close friend growing up - she's in OZ these days!
Nice red kerchief; that wasn't hard at all. Good luck on your (wo)manhunt!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yes I was very fashion-forward for 1976, eh? Don't tell anyone but I also have a turquoise one dating back to 2002 ;)
