Jonny’s Angels

Jonathan (or Charlie as he preferred to be known as last week) was in his element as the girls were in town. All the way from Dublin & London. They were sandwiching a relaxing week in Halifax in between one in TO (where they met up with Cuz Andrea) and one in Boston.
Quite a trip, eh?

We met up with Clodagh & Corinne at the airport Sunday morning and brought them straight back to our place to check it out & having got the seal of approval we made pancakes for Brunch - and ate on the back deck because it was such a nice day and got caught up on some of the news from home.

Then we ventured into the city, took in a few sights, listened to some music at the Waterfront and when we decided we were all hungry again, we queued up for an outside table at Stayner’s Wharf pub. Back home a while later and we lit the fire pit and cracked open another bottle of wine and continued the conversations into the wee hours.

Monday was a day for chillin’ out as we warmed up – a beautiful sunny day so we dressed appropriately, slapped on the Factor30 and spent the day sunning (ourselves), sipping (ice cold water) and shooting (the breeze). After the sun started it’s descent from directly overhead, we did manage a walk around the development, showed the girls some of the neighbours places, thus justifying more cold drinks (this time of the alcoholic type) before we stoked up the BBQ again.

Unfortunately due to a unplanned trip to the ER which resulted in a 3-night stay in hospital for Elle; the Angels were down to 2 and Charlie sure had his work cut out for him. But by Friday, the gang were re-united, the sun had returned and all was back to normal. Just enough time left to fit in a trip to the Winery; a few beers with friends; Saturday lunch on the boat (including an in-shore rescue mission); dinner out and a walk on the park on Sunday before lunch and a tearful Au Revoir later that afternoon with the words We love you Charlie ringing in their ears.

Rested & relaxed, C & C will be tearing it up in Boston within a few hours – Copley Place, Quincey Market . . . . . . . don’t forget to send us a postcard Angels!
