Andrea's Visit

It's so much fun having visitors, but so quiet when they leave. Not that Andrea was tearing the house down and making lots of noise ;) It's a different kind of quiet.

For those of you who may not know, Andrea is one of my cousins, normally lives in B.C. but is studying in Toronto this year. Some of you may remember I mentioned her during the summer when she was off on her latest adventure to USA & South America. So, being so close (by Canadian standards) to Halifax, we had to persuade her to come visit.

We had a fun weekend, met Alfie for a few more beers on Saturday night. We - Jonathan, Andrea & I - had set out to go shopping down at Historic Properties but it rained so much we had to take shelter in The Lower Deck and sample a few beers.

Sunday was a much better day, we went to Grand Pre for wine tasting. It's Harvest-time there and Hanspeter wanted to share the fun! We drank Sauser and ate Zwiebelkuchen!! Too hard to explain but it was all good. Back home for Sunday dinner - Dad, Jane, Doug & Amanda were out and Granby provided the entertainment.

On Monday the girls (Andrea & Elle) managed the obligatory retail therapy on Spring Garden Rd (Halifax's version of Dublin's Grafton St), before returning home to feed Andrea up before sending her back to school on an early morning flight on Tuesday.

Come back anytime, Andrea - it was great to see you!
