20th wedding anniversary

It's hard to believe that it has been 20 years since we gathered in Central Park with family & friends! A lot of water under those bridges, eh! Looking back at those that gathered, I am happy to say that most of them chose to remain in our lives. And those that didn't still hold a piece of my heart, even though it is a little bit broken. But the main thing is that Jonathan & I still consider each other partners in all things, even after 20 - sometimes difficult - years. Our two decades have included a transatlantic move, adoption (kids & animals), a career that made Jonathan and a few jobs for me, including 16 years at Dalhousie.

Celebrations for the 20th were low key but good fun. The day itself was a Wednesday so it was a quiet night in -  @crumbl cookies & @Gruet bubbly for supper. I was gifted the traditional Costco roses, ivory like my bouquet 20 years ago. My thoughtful gift to himself was a map of the Conservatory Garden. Well what do you get the guy who has everything?

On the following Friday night, we headed downtown for at Cafe Lunette in Queens Marque (Halifax) with old* friends Heather & Land, a delicious Mediterranean feast of lamb and chicken, the best hummus ever and a cocktail called "All That Glitters is Gold". After dinner we headed to the 360 Bar at the Casino for music and dancing with Big White Dog. A bit of craic, made better by Jonathan being mistaken for Doug Ford - not once, not twice, but three times!!
