ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Yes we did! The funny thing is that at one point I thought it was just a bit of hype and was really hoping that if I didn't comment on all the videos in FB that no-one would tag me. But that didn't happen.  So when Nancy nominated me I will admit to feeling some peer pressure to do it. Then I read into it a little bit more (proving that it did work) and decided that if I could help create a bit more awareness then it would be worth it.

So with a little bit of dutch courage and a champagne bucket at the ready, I did it. No chairs, no assistants (except my trusty cameraman and his sidekick!) and I will say that I am glad I did it and I have throughly enjoyed watching many friends doing it too.

It's not about peer pressure, it's about being part of something good, creating an awareness of something is always a good thing. Maybe more people will come up with creative ideas to create awareness of many other things. People will pay attention if you make it fun, even if the subject matter isn't.

Well done to all who took the challenge, challenged others and/or donated (to this or any other worthy cause) and/or talked about it. Now lets hope the money raised does some good.
