Back home! Whoo hoo. Super excited about going back to Dublin and reconnecting with a few old friends. I always did appreciate my friends and have tried to keep in touch with them. Facebook does make it easier to keep in touch and have some sense of what goes on in peoples lives - for those that a) choose to be on FB and b) choose to share.
Maybe it's an age thing but I really really miss my friends back home. Recently some of the old gang got together for a bit of a reunion. Oh how I would have loved to have been in Mulligan's that night only 2 weekends ago! Or maybe it was having an old friend come to visit to make me realise that what I miss is NOT home itself but the old friends that are there.
So I am really looking forward to reconnecting, to seeing DJ play with his cousins, for him to be able to have them around 24/7, to sit by a lake and soak up the Irish air, because there is nothing quite like the a irish air; to sit in a pub and listen to some music; to generally enjoy the craic.
18/19 days of it. Oh Yeah! And we will party - we have a 50th wedding Anniversary to celebrate as well as 3 birthdays including my own. Life is good. Enjoy!
