Family Vacation

Well I Never (thought I would see the day) . . . . for as long as we have been back in Canada, Dad has been suggesting that we make a trip to Florida where Dad & Jane now spend the colder months of the year. Affectionately referred to as Snowbirds - folks who fly south for the winter - only in this case they drive and usually tow a boat. Until last year when they purchased an RV, aka "Harvey". Regardless of the mode of transport and/or attachments that go with; the attraction of a Sunshine State is very alluring.

Once again this year, it was suggested that we join them for a few days and yet again I declined. But one cold, snowy, wintery day, something changed and a quick look at the www yielded a surprise in the form of reasonably priced flights to FL. We mentioned we might just take up the offer after all and went back to www.LookingForCheapFlightsToFlorida.please and to my horror the prices were roughly double what we had seen. A serious case of he who hesitates is last/lost.

However Jonathan doesn't give up as easily as that and a few days later he spent a few hours surfing - and cursing and gasping and muttering. Then I heard the magic words "I think I found it". Yes indeed he did. And yes we did book it.

And now we are here. In hot, sunny Florida, with Dad & Jane. And loving it.
