Hallowe'en

Can I just start by saying I Love Hallowe'en - always have, but this year something feels like it has been reset, fixed in a way and all is OK within my world again. Like a reconnection of sorts to something forgotten or mislaid - that would be me, more specifically my inner me!

This Halloween seems to have stretched over an entire week. Carving pumpkins, baking Witches Broomsticks, party at daycare on Friday, at Kindermusik on Saturday and of course the day itself!

The irony of this year is that DJ burned himself on the wood stove last weekend and despite his current caution (fear) of all things hot, he still dressed up as a Fireman - mind you he really didn't have much of a choice as we bought the costume months ago!

As well as Hallowe'en it is Samhain, Celtic New Year and maybe the sense of renewal comes from that - with a little help from a new friend, Catherine whom I spent a very relaxing morning with on Friday - aromatherapy foot bath, followed by reiki and foot reflexology. As if that wasn't enough, the half-day retreat finished off with a relaxing session on a Jade bed - just what the doctor (would have) ordered.
