Christmas Highlights

DJ never gets up out of bed unless he is called - he may make it known that he is up but stays put. So, imagine the fright I got when I heard our bedroom door swing open at 7.15am on Christmas morning! Of course we were all tucked up in our beds a little later than usual so we staggered out of bed, woke Grandma and went to see what presents Santa had left.

DJ 'asked' Santa for a Thomas Train Set - Santa very kindly set it all up for him so he could play as soon as he saw it. Talk about fun!

Santa also left a few goodies in DJ's stocking - not quite as interesting as a train set but worth a few minutes to explore all the same.

In between we opened adult pressies. Mum had got her GPS before heading to New York a few weeks ago, but Santa had left a few goodies in her stocking.
My pressies were all awesome this year, especially the Coach handbag from Mum & Susie, a perfect match for my new Coach boots Mum brought back.

Of course Christmas dinner was fab - I cooked, kept it simple this year but great turkey and I do love brussel sprouts! A few phone calls to family that aren't here in Halifax - that's the downside to Christmas for me: there is always somebody missing. But otherwise a nice quiet joyful Christmas with people you love and who love you . What more can a girl ask for?
