Well here in Canada they LOVE Yard Sales - every weekend from May-July you can find someone selling something in the garden/garage, from 1 cent to $20 bargains. So, when Jonathan decided he needed a 'ride-on' to cut the grass on our lot, he decided to finance it with a little bit of a Garage Sale himself. So, out came all his old dirt-biking gear - helmets, body armour, leathers, boots, gloves, tank bags - you name it - he had it, some never even worn.
A few pictures and a web connection is all you need. Set up an account online at kijiji.com and wait for the phone to ring. And ring it did - day & night. So, he set up the garage like a warehouse displaying all his wares and haggled and hustled with the guys & gals that called and came by to part with their cash in return for some great gear. Well, like a kid in a toy shop he came in evening after evening with a big smile & fistfuls of $20 bills. And I am pleased to say, not only is there less stuff in the basement but he paid for the ride-on tractor/lawn-mower with the profits from his little venture. Now, mowing the lawn is something he actually looks forward to every week - and a great lawn it is too! Vroom, vroom Jonathan!
